If you are anything like me, food storage is always a problem. It either takes up a lot of shelf space or room in your freezer. There is one method that takes up very little room on the shelf and no room in your freezer. Dehydrating! It is easy to do and takes up so little space, you will not believe how much food you can store in a cabinet or closet shelf. Grow your own vegetables or buy them in season and you will be eating them all winter long. Everyone loves going to the beach, from children to adults. What could be more fun.....wading, swimming, building sand castles, playing volleyball, or just relaxing and reading. However there are some dangers at the beach, but it is easy to prepare for these dangers and protect yourself and your loved ones. All you have to do is pack a few essentials and you are good to go! Standard practice today is to keep almost all foods in the refrigerator. Most of the time we don't even think about it, we just put things in the refrigerator, but did you know that many of those things really don't need to go in the refrigerator? Many items are good out on the counter in a bowl, or in the cupboard. Find out which ones!
Sometimes you find yourself with too many eggs to use before they spoil. Maybe there was a great sale, or your hens have been overly prolific in laying or you bought a dozen forgetting that you already had a couple dozen. Regardless of how it happened, it does happen. What do you do ? If you have ever tried a Magic Eraser Sponge, I bet you were amazed. I know I was. At our old house (before we moved to our homestead) we had a shower enclosure in the second bathroom. The bottom of it was always dirty from my husband showering after work. He is a diesel mechanic and many times he arrives home quite black, and it seems that most of that black ends up on the shower floor. I tried so many things to clean it and it just took old fashioned elbow grease to scour it off. The older it got, the harder it became to get clean. That is, until I tried a Magic Eraser! There is at least another month of grilling time left this summer. Have you felt your grill skills have been a bit lackluster so far this season? Do you feel that other grillers know tips and tricks that you are not privy to? Then you have come to the right place. Below are some grilling tips guaranteed to put you on the road to being the neighborhood grillmaster! If you love to cook like I do, you are always on the lookout for good cooking tips. Whether they come from personal experience, relatives or the internet, cooking tips are great to know and to share. I hope you like the ones I am about to share with you! When you live in the country, there are an amazing amount of things that stain your clothes. Just every day things that you would never think twice about can do a real number on fabric. It is especially bad when you are in a hurry and don't examine the pieces before you wash and dry them. That sets the stains and makes them much harder to get out. As a result, I was in need of a super stain remover! No man made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little ~ Edmund Burke Replacing disposable items with reusable items is kind, thoughtful, frugal and saves time:
